## Things that block you

Rebirth, Grand Rebirth and resetting Power Ups all fail if any of these are true:

* You are dead.
* You are trading, vending, running a buying store, or have storage open.
* You are in a chat room.
* You have a **cart**, a **falcon**, a **Peco/Gryphon** mount or a **Dragon** mount.

Remove the cart, falcon or mount first. The NPC tells you what is wrong:

| Message                                                 | What to do                                                                       |
| ------------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| You have not reached the required base level yet. | Get to base level 255. |
| Only Transcendent and 3rd classes can rebirth. | Your class cannot use the Rebirth System. |
| You have reached the current limit. | You are at 100 rebirths (do a Grand Rebirth) or at the season Grand Rebirth cap. |
| You need the maximum normal rebirth count first. | Do more normal rebirths until you have 100. |
| Please remove your mount, cart or falcon first. | Remove them and try again. |
| You cannot do that right now. | Close trades, shops, storage or chat rooms, or revive. |
| The rebirth storage is unavailable, please report this. | Something is wrong on the server. Tell staff. |

## Which classes can rebirth

The server checks that your class is flagged as **Transcendent** or **3rd class**.

**Can rebirth** (examples): Lord Knight, Paladin, High Priest, Champion, High Wizard, Professor, Sniper, Clown, Gypsy, Whitesmith, Creator, Assassin Cross, Stalker, and all 3rd classes such as Rune Knight, Royal Guard, Warlock, Sorcerer, Ranger, Minstrel, Wanderer, Arch Bishop, Sura, Mechanic, Genetic, Guillotine Cross and Shadow Chaser. Star Emperor and Soul Reaper also count as 3rd class, and so do the Baby 3rd classes (Baby Rune Knight and so on).

**Cannot rebirth**: classes that never become Transcendent or 3rd, such as Gunslinger, Rebellion, Ninja, Kagerou, Oboro, Star Gladiator, Soul Linker and Super Novice. Yami's custom classes Jedi, Sith, Kage and Necromancer are not flagged as Transcendent or 3rd either, so they cannot rebirth.

{% hint style="info" %}
High Novice and the High 1st classes (High Swordsman and so on) technically pass the class check, but they cannot reach base level 255, so in practice you need a Transcendent 2nd class or a 3rd class.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://wiki.yami-ro.net/server-features/rebirth-system/requirements.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
